"Such beautiful tannins here that are refined and beautiful and bring you deep into the medium to full body. Currants and berries. Refined."
- James Suckling
"The 2022 Prieure-Lichine is deep garnet-purple in color. It tumbles out with eager-to-please scents of juicy blackcurrant, Morello cherries, and black raspberries, followed by hints of cedar, violets, and black truffles. The medium to full-bodied palate is densely packed with juicy black fruit and floral accents, supported by beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins and a refreshing backbone, finishing long and fragrant. This is a very impressive showing for Prieure-Lichine"
- Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Château Prieuré-Lichine is among the most historic estates in the Margaux appellation. Its wines have a true "Margaux" identity, combining elegance and refinement. Every day, the team shares its wine “art de vivre” with visitors from all over the world.
After a half a century of close ties with the Lichine family, Château Prieuré-Lichine was acquired by the Ballande group. Under the new owners, the estate set its sights firmly on the new millennium, continuing its path forward, and ever faithful to its long tradition of hospitality.
