Chateau Marjosse Vertical 3-Pack
Hailing from the personal estate of Pierre Lurton, director of Château Cheval-Blanc and Château d’Yquem, this exclusive Vertical 3-Pack is a must for any lover of great Bordeaux.
"Marjosse is my secret garden. It gives me energy. It is important for me to have this place and share it."
- Pierre Lurton
Château Marjosse is located in Entre-deux-Mers, and benefits from outstanding soil. Astéries limestone, which is identical to that of the Saint-Emilion plateau, forms outcrops here; the clay-limestone soil and subsoil is particularly well-suited to the production of great red wines
We've managed to get our hands on an exclusive vertical tasting pack form the fantastic 2018, 2019, and 2020 vintages. This is a unique opportunity to own three vintages of one of the most highly regarded producers in Bordeaux.
This pack contains:
1 x Chateau Marjosse, Bordeaux 2018
92 POINTS: James Suckling
92 POINTS: Robert Parker
92 POINTS: Vinous Media
"The 2018 Marjosse is made up of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 10% Cabernet Franc - with a splash of old Malbec. Big old barrels were used for 25% of the crop. Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, it opens with a compelling nose of baking spices, raspberry pie, warm red and black currants, rose hip tea and fragrant earth with a waft of wild sage. Medium-bodied, the palate is filled with fragrant red and black fruit, framed by great freshness and soft, supple tannins, finishing on a floral note."

1 x Chateau Marjosse, Bordeaux 2019
92 POINTS: James Suckling
92 POINTS: Robert Parker
91 POINTS: Vinous Media
90 POINTS: Decanter Magazine
"A meaty tone here, with lots of fresh, ripe cherry aromas. 88% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 8% Cabernet Franc. Dangerously soft and smooth on the palate, silky tannins with a lovely immediate deep flavour on the palate. This is more subtle, less immediately juicy but has real charm and good depth. You feel the flavours linger on the tongue with a perfumed, floral aspect to them. This is delicate but driving with good presence and still superb freshness. An elegance to it as well. Lovely. Good mouthwatering acidity, still on the light side, well balanced and enjoyable."

90 POINTS: James Suckling
"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Marjosse comes barreling out of the glass with rambunctious scents of cassis, crushed blackberries and black plum preserves, followed by hints of dark chocolate, anise and tar, plus a fragrant waft of lavender. The medium-bodied palate is soft, juicy and wonderfully refreshing, delivering wonderful poise and expression with a fun burst of pure black fruit on the finish. Delicious!"
