"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Marjosse comes barreling out of the glass with rambunctious scents of cassis, crushed blackberries and black plum preserves, followed by hints of dark chocolate, anise and tar, plus a fragrant waft of lavender. The medium-bodied palate is soft, juicy and wonderfully refreshing, delivering wonderful poise and expression with a fun burst of pure black fruit on the finish. Delicious!"
- Robert Parker

Château Marjosse is a historic estate built in 1782 and located 14 km south of Saint-Emilion. Its history took a major turn in the early 1990s when the Deleuze family decided to lease part of the parcels to a young ambitious winemaker named Pierre Lurton, who would become the current General Manager of Yquem and Cheval Blanc. Little by little, he bought back the different parcels of the estate and opened a new chapter in 2017 with the arrival of Jean Marc Domme as technical director. The rest of the story is still being written as Pierre and Jean-Marc dive deeper and deeper into the subtleties of this magnificent terroir seeking to capture its essence vintage after vintage.

Its 35ha vineyard is located on exceptional clay and limestone soils. Pierre Lurton's "Secret Garden" is a patchwork of young and old vines, almost a century old.
