93 POINTS: James Suckling
92 POINTS: Decanter World Wine Awards
91 POINTS: Vinous Media
90 POINTS: Wine Enthusiast
"Another excellent Haut-Medoc that is rich and fleshy, but has lively acidity and a very attractive, minty freshness. The polished tannins give it plenty of drive at the long, mineral finish. Drink or hold."
- James Suckling
"The 2016 du Cartillon has a discrete nose that demands some aeration, gently unfolding with
blackberry, undergrowth, mint and a touch of bay leaf. The palate is medium-bodied with
supple tannin, good depth, gentle in grip with well integrated new oak. I like the body and
density on display towards the finish, all without denuding the precision. Excellent. Tasted at
the Cru Bourgeois tasting in London."
- Vinous Media
"The 2016 du Cartillon is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with aromas of warm raspberries, kirsch and black berries with spice box, dried herbs and fallen leaves nuances. The medium-bodied palate is chewy with good intensity and an earthy finish."
- Robert Parker's - The Wine Advocate
