Hay and a hint of herbaceous notes, restrained notes of candied yellow fruit. Creamy and extremely sweet in the mouth, comparatively moderate acidity, notes of caramel and sugar candy, quite a thick, oily texture, very present and persistent on the palate, and still has depth and length. Gains in air for days; has to mature and is likely to become significantly more complex over time.
Quality is consistent. Deeper bouquet and flavor than most Cali Zins. The Earth tones come thru beautifully about two years from Vintage. Wonderful
Red to contemplate on its own or with good food.
