"Wonderfully ripe and elegantly fragrant, the attractive bouquet shows white nectarine, rock melon and nougat characters with subtle notes of vanilla and almond. The palate is succulent and creamy, delivering delectable fruit flavours together with silky texture and refreshing acidity, finishing long and smooth.
Last year our good friends Laurent Calmel and Jerome Joseph of Calmel & Joseph fame, and the creators of Villa Blanche Chardonnay sent us a very interesting e-mail. They had made a range of premium custom wines for a large European wine retailer. Unfortunately, the order fell through and they were left with a number of pallets of top quality southern French wines without a home. They looked to their mates down under to help them out, we didn’t need a second nudge, we jumped on the excess stock and shipped it down to New Zealand and you guys, our loyal Wine Direct customers loved it!
The good news is that the Calmel & Joseph boys have made some of the sensational Tribu Montahut Chardonnay available to us again this year...at the same price! With costs going up left right and centre this delicious Chardonnay is an absolute steal.
